Withdrawl Policy

1. Admission Procedure and Guardian's Responsibility

Candidates for admission must be introduced by the parents or guardians who shall complete the admission form and assume the guardian’s responsibility of the good conduct, studies, and dues of the candidate.

The amount paid cannot be refunded even if the pupil for any reason should leave the school immediately after the Entrance Examination. (New Admission)

Every new pupil must bring either:
(1) A Transfer (Leaving) Certificate if coming from a recognised English Medium School
OR
(2) A Municipal Birth Certificate if the student has not attended any school before.

No admission is complete until the Birth / Leaving Certificate is handed over to the School Authorities.

If a pupil comes from another State, the Leaving Certificate should be countersigned by the Inspector of Schools of that State before admission.

Parents must apply for Leaving Certificate in the prescribed form provided in the school calendar. No Leaving Certificate will be granted unless all school dues are paid.

Applicants from unrecognized Secondary Schools or approved Primary Schools must submit an affidavit before a Magistrate or Justice of Peace.
The affidavit must clearly state:

  • Why the pupil did not attend a recognised school

  • Name of the unrecognised school and standards attended

  • Subjects studied, exams passed (if any)

  • With whom the student stayed during those years
The student must pass a written test in all subjects. Admission is provisional, subject to confirmation by the Educational Inspector.

If an applicant from an unrecognised Secondary School has previously attended a recognised school, they must produce a Leaving Certificate or its duplicate.
The parent or guardian must submit an affidavit explaining:

  • Reasons for joining the unrecognised school

  • Name and standard attended

  • Exams passed, and with whom the student stayed
The student must pass a written test. Admission is subject to confirmation by the Educational Inspector.

No child younger than five nor as a rule older than eight is admitted to the First Standard. A corresponding scale of age is fixed for the succeeding standards.

A month’s notice must be given before withdrawal of a pupil, otherwise, the fees for the following month will be charged.

  • Notice should be given by the person responsible for the pupil, not by the pupil himself.

  • Students leaving in April must pay one term fee.

  • No Leaving Certificate will be granted unless all school dues are paid.

  • Application for Leaving Certificate must be submitted in the prescribed form provided in the Calendar.
